Tap a card with your phone to play an album
Tune Tag sells music on cards with an NFC chip. Fans tap the card with their phone and play the album in the browser, with no app and no account.

The problem
Tune Tag wanted to bring back the feeling of owning music. Fans buy a card-sized tag with an NFC chip, the same technology as tap-to-pay cards. Each tag links to one digital album.
Fans had to play the music on any phone that reads NFC, with no app and no account. Listeners also had to stay private. The only outside service is Stripe, for payments.
What we built
We designed and built the Tune Tag website, with a shop and the system behind the tags.
- A shop where fans buy single songs or whole albums, with Stripe checkout
- A unique link for each tag: a tap opens a secure link that works for a limited time
- No login and no tracking, so fans play music without giving their details
- A design for phones first, with GSAP animations that guide fans step by step
- Clear pages that show song previews, buy buttons and how to scan a tag
The result
Fans now tap a Tune Tag with their phone and hear the album at once.
Artists can sell limited editions, tour extras or collector cards that link to their music. They do not need a big streaming platform to do it.
