Workdesk Pro is one desktop app where service teams run tasks, projects, time, HR, payroll, invoices and docs. Tracked hours feed attendance, hourly pay, overtime, invoices and project profit, so nobody retypes them between tools.
Why one app instead of 4 separate tools?
Many teams plan work in one tool, track hours in a second and keep attendance in a spreadsheet. Pay and client invoices then need the same numbers typed again. You may learn that a project lost money only after payroll is done.
Workdesk Pro keeps this work on the same records, and each tracked hour belongs to a task. Timers check people in and close their day, and tracked time sets hourly pay and overtime. Billable hours become the client invoice and the project profit.
Timers notice when the work stops
A basic timer counts until someone presses stop. Workdesk Pro runs 4 checks: a time limit, a signal from the app, idle time and check-ins. Its server applies the rules, and it tells the person why a timer stopped.
Workdesk Pro never takes screenshots or records the screen. It asks the person a short question, and they answer it. Each answer records that they confirmed the work.
A desktop app, with your data kept apart
A browser tab cannot notice when a computer sleeps, sits idle or quits, so Workdesk Pro is a desktop app. It runs on macOS 11 or later, on Apple silicon and Intel. Windows and Linux versions are coming soon.
Each company has its own workspace, kept apart in the server code and in the database. Accounts support two-factor sign-in, and every doc is stored encrypted. Only admins see pay rates and profit.
One price that includes HR and payroll
You can try every Pro feature free for 30 days, and you do not need a card. You then get 7 extra days to decide. If you upgrade, Pro costs USD 9 per person per month, or USD 7 if you pay yearly.
The minimum is 3 people. The one price covers HR (human resources), payroll, invoices and docs, with no add-ons. The AI assistant is included, and you pay your AI provider for what you use.
Larger companies can ask us about an Enterprise plan with guided setup and volume pricing. You can cancel at any time, and your data stays yours.

How Workdesk Pro works
Timers that stop by themselves
A timer stops when the app loses contact for 5 minutes, such as when the computer sleeps. It also stops a set time after the work day ends, and at 8 hours by default.
Check-ins that people answer
Every hour by default, the app asks if you are still on this task. You can say yes, switch task or stop. You can set the time from 30 to 120 minutes, or turn it off.
Time corrections with a history
An employee asks for a correction and gives a reason, and an admin approves or refuses it. Each change keeps who made it, when and why, so you can trust the pay figures.
Attendance that fills itself in
Starting a timer checks you in. If you forget to check out, the day closes at your last activity, and you confirm it the next morning.
Leave and team capacity
Set leave types with yearly quotas, half days and approvals. The team week shows booked hours, free hours, leave and holidays. You can see who is free before you promise a date.
Payroll from tracked hours
Hourly pay comes from tracked time, and salaries spread over the month’s work days. An admin approves overtime and closes the month. You then export a CSV for your accountant or payment tool.
Client invoices and project profit
Set a bill rate for each project and a pay rate for each person. You see cost, profit and margin as the month goes. You issue numbered invoices as PDF and CSV from the same hours.
Tasks and projects
Each task has a permanent ID such as GE-12, assignees, subtasks and comments. Each project has a team, a manager and weekly status updates, so you can see its health without asking.
Docs and an AI assistant
Write plans next to the project, and turn a checklist line into a task in 1 click. An AI assistant with your own key can summarize a doc, and it changes nothing until you apply its edit.
